How It Works
A home remodel of any kind is exciting and for some, something that you have been planning for years. We understand your home should be cared for and treated with great respect. You will find our team is here to guide you along the way to help ensure the process is as seamless as possible. Our team has put together an outline of the process to help answer any questions you may have. Please consider this a guideline and know we will take the time to explain each detail and your custom timeline prior to start of any work.
During the initial phase consider it a cross examination of both your home and Carolina Remodeling Services as a good fit for you and your family. We will provide a number of questions so that we can understand the depth of the project.
During this time we encourage everyone to do their research on us as well. Check out our portfolio, call on our references and read our reviews. This is also a time to be considering what your budget will be. Our pricing guide on our site is available as a great resource.
If we both agree that we are a great fit, our Sales Manager will perform a walk through of your space to get an understanding of the scope of the project and what your goals are. The sales manager will supply you with a rough estimate, the design fee proposal and a more detailed outline of the work project.
Design • 4-6 Weeks
This is where the fun begins! After signing of the design agreement we will provide you with access to our project management software. Photographs, measurements by our design team will also take place during this time. We have hand selected a group of designers who stay up-to-date on trends and have a knowledge of material selections.
Three unique design concepts will be presented to you through the use of sketches, elevations and 3D rendering software. We will invite you into our showroom where the plans will be finalized and the materials selections will take place.
Prep • 2-4 Weeks
During the prepping phase lots of behind the scenes work is taking place. Documentation is gathered along with meetings with our selected trade experts to help ensure the process is smooth and the building phase can begin on time. Engineering work is being prepped for code compliance as well.
The final phase of this process is the completion of the selection of materials. During this time you may visit one of our supplier’s showrooms for a full scale experience of your choices
Lastly, you will meet with our team for the presentation of the final proposal. A fixed-price bid along with a detailed scope is included. You will find our bids are not itemized as our projects of our great quality. Once the proposal is signed, the building phase will begin.
Building • 10-16 Weeks
After signing of the contract & deposit being made, our Construction Manage & the Superintendent who will be overseeing your project will discuss with you the start date. Approximately 48 -72 hours later you will be presented with a schedule of the project.
Before the building begins are team will do their best to prep your home for protection against the build phase. You will find barriers are placed, rooms are sealed and a filter being run to help keep the air clean.
Our superintendent will be communicating with you frequently. During each stage of progress our goal is to keep our clients informed. Near the end of the project a final walk-through will be scheduled along with a cleaning service scheduled.
